Credits System
Understand how credits work in Reeva.
What Are Credits?
Credits are the currency for tool execution in Reeva. Each time a tool runs, credits are deducted from your balance.
Tool Costs
Standard Tools
Most tools cost 1 credit per execution.
Premium & Complex Tools
Some complex or premium tools may cost more than 1 credit. The cost for each tool is displayed in the Tools section.
LLM-Powered Tools
Tools that involve LLM calls have two cost components:
- Fixed base cost - Usually 1 credit
- Variable cost - Depends on the number of tokens used, the models involved, and other factors
Using Your Own API Key: If you connect your own LLM account via API key, we only deduct the fixed base cost of the tool. The LLM usage is billed directly to your account.
When Credits Are Charged
Successful Executions
Credits are deducted when a tool executes successfully and returns results.
Failed Executions
Generally, if an execution fails, credits are not deducted.
Exception: If an execution fails due to misconfigurations on your end (invalid credentials, incorrect parameters you provided, etc.), the execution may still charge credits.
Credit Usage in Playground & Chat
Credits are consumed when:
- Testing tools via the Playground
- Using Chat - Note that Chat may consume additional credits due to LLM usage beyond the tool execution itself
Tracking Your Usage
Navigate to Usage and Billing in the side navigation to:
- View all tool executions
- See credits consumed
- Monitor your remaining balance
Purchasing Credits
There are two ways to purchase credits:
Monthly Subscription
When you subscribe to a plan, credits are deposited into your account at the beginning of every billing cycle.
Important: Subscription credits do not roll over month-to-month. They expire at the end of your billing cycle.
One-Time Credit Purchases
You can purchase additional credits at any time.
- The higher your monthly subscription tier, the better pricing you receive on one-time credit purchases
- Credits purchased this way expire 90 days after purchase
Managing Your Subscription
Upgrading Your Plan
When you upgrade your plan:
- Your old plan is terminated immediately
- Your new plan starts on a fresh billing cycle
- Any remaining credits from your old plan are retained and keep their original expiration date
- Credits from your new plan expire based on the new billing cycle
Downgrading Your Plan
When you downgrade your plan:
- The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- You retain your current plan benefits until then
- You can cancel the pending downgrade at any time before it takes effect
Example: You subscribed to Pro on February 1st. On February 15th, you downgrade from Pro to Plus. The downgrade takes effect on March 1st, and you retain your Pro plan until that point. The downgrade can be cancelled any time before March 1st.
Refund Policy
Credits are non-refundable.
